          TRAVELS OF BASIC MACHINE
          Machine column horizontal-longitudinal

          MACHINE BED X-AXIS
          Basis for a fast and secure movement of the machine column in X-direction
          is the machine bed in flat bed design. A distance of 1.000 mm, in combination
          with compact, hardened roller bearing guides grants highest precision.
          The X-axis is operated by means of 2 pre-loaded electro-motors. Force
          transmission is done with the help of a rack and pinion drive, bolted in
          the center of the machine bed.

          MACHINE COLUMN Y-AXIS
          The machine column is a steel welded construction with compact guideways. Two
          liquid cooled feed motors in the Y-Axis assure fast acceleration, as well as
          high rapid speeds at a constant operation temperature. Two measuring systems
          grant optimum precision while running out of the spindle stock. Column
          protected against swarfs and coolant by means of telescope covers.
          In Y-direction 900 mm guiding width.

          HEAD STOCK AND SPINDLE STOCK Z-AXIS
          Made of GGG 60 cast iron, the head is guided on the column with 2 hardened slide
          ways. Spindle stock, also made of GGG 60 cast iron, has two opposed compact
          guides. Long guidings lead to the machine column and the spindle stock and grant
          highest force transmissions at a constant quality. In order to avoid a tilting
          of the column, the Y and Z Axis are arranged as close as possible.

          TWIN SPINDLE DRIVE
          Driven by 2 vertical ball screws with separate drives, measurement systems and
          CNC axes to ensure a long-lasting, accurate, co-planar and low-maintenance
          movement of the headstock.

          DRIVE SYSTEM
          Individually operating digital feed drives with AC motors ensure a
          high-precision processing with a constant torque, feed and rapid feed,
          continuously variable from: X + Y + Z - Axis 2-30.000 mm/min, acceleration
          in all axes 3,5 m/s2

          MEASURING SYSTEM
          Direct contactless measuring with linear measurement systems for a high
          precision machining.

          Frequency controlled high pressure pump with steplessly variable pressure and
          quantity control via potentiometer in the control panel. The standard pump
          (32l/min 20bar) is replaced.
          Pump capacity: max. 70 bar at 30 l/min

          COLLISION MONITORING SYSTEM 1-CHANNEL
          Collision monitoring system monitors machine and, conditionally,
          tool collisions. A piezo force sensor measures all deformations during
          machining. The monitoring device analyzes the signals.
          Channel 1 Collision:
          The process limit for channel 1 (collision) can be adapted to the actual
          machining process via the control in the operator panel
          (the max. value is 999). If lower forces occur during machining, the process
          limit can be reduced, consequently the machine switches off earlier and
          damages are minimized. If the force signal exceeds the process limit,
          the machine will be switched off; the axes are braked with the max.
          permissible torque.
